Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy VIII Euergetes, (145-116 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, Citium mint (in Cyprus), struck year 31 = 140-139 B.C., (12.45 grams), obv. head of Ptolemy to right with aegis, rev. eagle to left on thunderbolt with closed wings, to left L**LA*, to right KI, around **BASILEWS [PTOLE]MAIOU**, (cf.S.7908, Sv.1580, SNG Cop.596, BMC 37). Edge corrosion and surface roughness, otherwise very fine or better and very scarce.
