Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, Philadelphos, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, Gaza mint, struck year 37 = 249-248 B.C., (14.082 grams), obv. head of Ptolemy to right with aegis, rev. eagle to left on thunderbolt with closed wings, to left **GA* above **L*V monogram, to right **LZ/Z*, around **[PTOLEM]AIOU SWTHROS*, (cf.S.7776 [£250], Sv.833, SNG Cop.459, BMC 141, Meydancikkale 4030). Toned, slightly off centred, good very fine and rare.
