Thrace, Maroneia, (late 2nd century B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.500 grams), obv. head of young Dionysos to right, wreathed with ivy, rev. Dionysos naked standing left, holding grapes and two narthex wands, monograms to left and right, around **DIONUSOU SWTHROS MA[RW]NITW[N]*, (S.1635, Schonert-Geiss 1251-4 (obv. 74, rev.-). Extremely fine, weak in places, rare.
