Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.044 grams), Babylon mint, issued 311-305 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, to left MI, MTP within wreath below throne, **[B]ASIL[EWS]* in exergue, **ALEXANDRO[U]* to right, (cf.S.6713, Price 3751, BMC 3751a-b, M.735, Armenak Hoard 138-139). Good very fine.
