Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochos VIII, (121-96 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.172 grams), Damascus mint, first reign, issued 119-118 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right, fillet border, rev. Zeus Uranius with crescent above standing to left, holding star and sceptre, on right **BASILEOS and **ANTIOCOU and to left **EPIFANOUS, to left AP monogram over AN, in exergue date **G*qP = 193 = 120-119 B.C., (cf.S.7143, cf.SNG Israel I (Spaer) 2646, Newell LSM 89). Minor flan crack, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
