Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochus III, (219-217 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.734 grams), Series IV, Antioch mint, issued 200-187 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus III to right in high relief, fillet border, rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, on right, **BASILEWS* and to left ANTIOXOY, trace of monogram to left, (cf.S.6935, Newell WSM 1121-2 [Pl.XXXII, 2-3 same obverse die). Attractive tone, broad flan, very fine or better.
