New Zealand, Group of Four. Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officer's Decoration (ERI VII) (1908 Major William H Bryant 1st Battalion Nelson Infantry Volunteers); Volunteer Long Service and Good Conduct Medal 1894 (Victoria Regina et Imperatrix) (William H Bryant Maj. Nelson Infantry Vols (1908); New Zealand Long and Efficient Service Medal 1887 (G.T. White obverse)(Capt. William H. Bryant Waimea Rifle Vols [1903]); New Zealand Volunteer Service Medal 1902 (Type II) (Capt William H Bryant Waimea Rifle Volunteers [1902]). All medals have been renamed and privately engraved. Very fine - extremely fine.
A rare group attributed to Lt. Col. William Henderson Bryant. Sold along with a bound volume featuring photocopies of his hand written diary with notes on various camps he was in between 1886 and 1917. Copies of his various appointments and promotions and a minute showing he retired on 31 March 1917 and died at Brightwater on 14th January 1948. Makes for interesting reading.
