Aethelred II, (978-1016), silver penny, second hand type issued, 985-991, obv. bust to right with sceptre, around AEDELRAED REX ANGLOX, rev. AELFGAR M-O LVNDO (Aelfige of London), hand of Providence from clouds, pellets below, (S.1146, N.768, BMC iid). Ragged edge, flan with several pinholes, very good or better and rare.
