INDONESIA, Madura Island, Countermarked Coinage, silver real batu, countermark in square (A.H. 1)230 (=1814-1815), on eight reales of (Mexico City mint) c.1730, with additional countermark of 'circle within 6 pointed star' but no 'Sumenep' countermark, (KM.197). Host coin very good, countermarks very fine and very rare.
The second countermark unlisted but a variant of the 'Madura star' countermark and apparently unpublished.
