Thrace, Kingdom of, Lysimachus, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.690 grams), Cius mint, issued after 282/1 B.C. about 250- 240 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, within dotted border, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, shield at side with Medusa head in centre, club in outer left field, monogram MIO top left, bowcase and A**G* monogram in exergue, to right **BASILEW[S]* to left **LUSIMA[COU]*, (cf.S.6814, M.414, SNG Berry 451, Thompson -). Bright, slightly porous surface, otherwise nearly very fine and rare.
