Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.494 grams), Miletus mint, issued c.210-190 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, star over MI monogram over lion to right looking back all to left, **ALEXANDR[OU]* to right, **PA* monogram under throne, (cf.S.6713, Price 2172, BMC 2172, M.1039). Large flan, very fine/good very fine, rare.
