Nearly extremely fine and better.
GM: London Gazette 30 March 1948. 'In recognition of conspicuous gallantry in carrying out hazardous work in a very brave manner.' Awarded for rescuing the pilot of a Dakota aircraft, which had crash-landed at New Delhi on 25 October 1947.
