Distinguished Service Order (1941); 1939-45 Star; Atlantic Star; Burma Star; British War Medal 1939-45; Royal Naval Reserve Decoration (1941); India Independence Medal 1947 (Comdr. W.N.M. Faichney R.N.R. (S.L.)). Last medal only named, impressed, others unnamed. Very fine.
DSO: London Gazette 4 March 1941. 'For courage and skill whilst commanding HMS Rhodendron in a successful action against an enemy submarine in heavy seas when U.104 was destroyed south of Rockall on 21 November 1940.'
