Maxentius, (A.D. 306-308), AE follis, Ostia mint, issued 307-9, (7.472 grams), obv. laureate head to right, around IMP C MAXENTIVS P F AVG, rev. Caster and Pollux facing each other each with a horse, around AETE RNITAS AVG N, MOSTQ in exergue, (S.3776, RIC 35). Attractive brown patina, extremely fine.
Ex Stephen Cole, Hobart February 12, 1993 and previously from Antiquarius New Zealand at the NAA Coin Fair July 1992.
