Severus Alexander, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 232, Rome mint, (3.616 grams), obv. laureate bust to right, draped, around IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG, rev. PROVIDE NTIA AVG, Annona standing to left, holding corn ears and cornucopiae, modius at feet, (S.7922, RIC 250, RSC 501b). Attractive dark grey tone, good extremely fine.
