Gordian III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianii, Rome mint, obv. radiate bust right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. FORTVNA REDVX around, with Fortuna seated to left holding anchor and cornucopiae, (cf.S.2435, RIC 144, RSC 98); others similar rev. SECVRIT PERP, Securitas standing left, (S.2461, RIC 151, RSC 327); rev. PROVIDENTIA AVG, Providentia standing left, (S.2458, RIC 4, RSC 302); other antoninianii include Philip II (holed and poor) (S.2668); Claudius II (S.3203, 3208); Aurelian (2) (S.3260, 3264); Probus (5), (S.3364, cf.3371 [3], cf.3379), Maximianus, (cf.S.3510 [Diocletian]).Several with some surface oxidation, otherwise very fine or better unless stated.
