Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Emesa mint, issued A.D. 197, (2.658 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around L SEPT SEV PERT AVG IMP VIIII, rev. around P M TR P V COS II P P, Sol standing to left, hand raised holding whip, (S.6331, RIC 492, RSC 433). Extremely fine and very scarce.
