Nero Claudius Drusus, (father of Claudius), (died 9 B.C.), posthumous issue struck under Claudius, (A.D. 42), AE Sestertius, issued c.A.D.41-50, Rome mint, (29.52 grams), obv. bare head to left of Drusus, around NERO CLAVDIVS DRVSVS GERMANI[CVS I]MP, rev. Claudius bare-headed seated to left on curule chair, wearing togate, holding branch, weapons and armour around, around TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR A[VG] P M TR P IMP P P, S C in exergue, (S.1897 [£200 F], RIC 109 [Claudius], BMC 208). Porous flan, cleaned, fine or better and a rare type.
