Nero Claudius Drusus, (father of Claudius) (died 9 B.C.), posthumous issue struck by Claudius, AE sestertius, issued A.D. 41-2. Rome mint, (26.18 grams), obv. bare head to left of Drusus, around NERO CLAVDIVS DRVSVS [GERMAN]ICVS IMP, rev. Claudius bare-headed seated to left on curule chair, wearing togate, holding branch, weapons and armour around, around TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG [P M TR P IMP], S [C], (S.1896 [£200 F], RIC 93 [Claudius], BMC 157, C.8). Fine, weak in places, and rare.
