Thrace, Island off Thrace, Thasos, (after 148 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.618 grams), obv. large head of young Dionysos to right, wreathed with ivy and band across forehead, rev. Herakles naked standing to left, holding club, lion skin over left arm, to right **HRAKLEOUS*, to left **SWTHROS, below **FASIWN, MH monogram to left, (cf.S.1759, SNG Cop. 1040-1045); together with a Danubian Copy of an exceptionally crude style (15.268 grams) and a large fragment (10.380 grams). First of good metal, well centred, good very fine; second very good, last poor. (3)
