Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.992 grams), Colophon mint, issued c.319-310 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **SW* monogram to left, KE monogram below throne, to right **ALEXANDRO[U]*. (cf.S.6730, Price 1794, BMC 1794a-c, M.1605, SNG Cop.917). Good very fine, scarce.
