Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.906 grams), Macedon 'Amphipolis' mint, issued c.323-320 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **L* over torch to left, **ALEXANDROU* to right, **DI* under throne, (cf.S.6713, Price 495, BMC 495a-c, M.42); another (16.364 grams), **L* over bucranium, E below throne, (Price 432, BMC 432a-c, M.101); and a lead copy of a Philip II tetradrachm.
