Macedon, Kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.402 grams), Pella I B mint, issued c. 354/3-349/8 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II?), on horseback to left, star below foreleg **D* between horses' legs, around **FILIP POU*, (cf.S.6683, Le Rider 108/113 Pl.5, [same obverse die D62, reverse die R90, p.123], SNG ANS 359 [similar dies]). With one cut on the reverse, otherwise nearly very fine and rare, apparently unpublished die combination.
