Sicily, Syracuse, reign of Agathokles, (317-285 B.C.), AE 23 (5.318 grams), obv. head of young male (Herakles) to right, rev. lion prowling to right, club above, javelin in exergue, dotted border, (S.1201, BMC 391, Calciati 151, SNG ANS 740). Dark green patina, nearly very fine and scarce.
