Sicily, Syracuse, (c.450-439 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.342 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying left crowning charioteer, rev. **SURA KO SION around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, hair bound with cord wound around four times forming an elongated coiffure, four dolphins around, (cf.S.933 [£1000], Boehringer 683 [same dies obverse 339/reverse 464]). Worn obverse die, ragged edge, otherwise nearly very fine/very fine and rare.
Boehringer records only two examples from these dies.
