Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy IV, (221-205 B.C.), gold oktadrachm, commemorative issue for Arsinoe II, after 268 B.C., (27.80 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. veiled head of Arsinoe II to right, wearing stephane, **L* behind, rev. double cornucopiae bound with fillet, around **ARSINOHS FILADELFOU*, (cf.S.7828, Hunterian 24 [p.381, Pl.LXXXIII, 3], Sv. 1165, BMC 35 [p.45, Pl/VIII, 7]). Good very fine and very rare.

Ex Peus Germany, Auction Sale 378 (lot 341 with ticket). Svronos knew of on eight examples of this type.
