Ghaznavids, Ibrahim ibn Mas'ud, (A.H. 451-492) (A.D. 1059-1099), associated with the Caliph Al-Muqtadi Bi'amir Allah (A.H. 467-487). (A.D. 1074-1094), gold dinars, (2, 6.8 grams), Ghazna mint, uncertain dates, and variants of this period 1074-1094, (A.1637, cf.SNA Tubingen 425 [basic type], cf.M.790 [basic type, values £125]). Weak in places, crudely struck as usual, otherwise nearly - very fine and scarce. (2)

Ex Steve Album with his packet. Part of a recent hoard, Album notes these gold dinars as scarce for this ruler, only one example of this type with Caliph's name in SNA Tubingen in their 800 plus Ghaznavid collection.
