Domitian, (A.D. 81-96), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 92-3 (3.510 grams), obv. laureate head of Domitian to right, around IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM P M TR P XII, rev. around IMP XXII COS XVI CENS P P P, Minerva standing to left, holding spear, (cf.S.2731 [£160 EF], BMC 207, RIC 174, RSC 278). Toned, nearly extremely fine and scarce.

The Reka Devnia hoard contained 81,044 silver denarii and 632 denarii of this ruler but only 5 examples of this variety.
