Julia Domna, wife of Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-217), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 211, (2.868 grams), obv. draped bust to right of Julia Domna, around IVLIA PIA FELIX AVG, rev. Diana standing to left, holding flaming torch in both hands, around MAT AVGG MAT SEN M PATR, (S.7102, RIC 380 [Caracalla], RSC 114). Nearly extremely fine.
In the Reka Devnia hoard of 3409 examples of Julia Domna only 15 were of this type.
