Julia Domna, wife of Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-217), silver denarius, issued 211, Rome mint, (2.870 grams), obv. draped bust to right of Julia Domna, around IVLIA AVGVSTA, rev. Pudicita seated to left head facing veiled, holding sceptre, right hand on breast, around PVDICITIA, (S.6603, RIC 575 [Severus], RSC 170). Nearly extremely fine/good very fine.
In the Reka Devnia hoard there were 3409 examples of Julia Domna but no examples of this type.
