Palestine, Roman Procurator of Judaea, Valerius Gratus under Tiberius, (A.D. 15-26), copper prutah, (2.190 grams), obv. in wreath partial legend in three lines, TIB KAI CAP, (Tiberius Caesar), rev. palm branch flanked by [I]OY **[LIA]*, below date across L **E*, (L**E* = year 5 = A.D. 18), (S.5620, H.646 [111], AJC II Supplement V, No.18, Meshorer 227). Dirt adhesion, off centred, otherwise good fine with a clear date reading, scarce.
