Syria, Kingdom of, Alexander I, (150-145 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.688 grams), Seleucia on Tigris mint, issued period 150-145 B.C., obv. diademed head of Alexander I to right within dotted border, rev. Zeus seated to left on throne holding Nike and sceptre, to right **BASILEWS ALECANDROU*, to left **QEOPATOROS EUERGETOU*, in exergue monogram **PAR*, (S.7051 [£400], SNG Spaer 1586, ACNAC Houghton 1004, Le Rider Suse p.147 312 [Pl.XXIX, 312]). Some porosity on the reverse, otherwise good fine/fine.
