Description

Thessaly, Larissa (under Macedonian domination), (350-325 B.C.), silver drachm, (5.670 grams), obv, facing head three-quarter to left of nymph Larissa, within dotted border, rev. horse grazing to right, with head down eating, above traces of **LAPIS*, plain exergue, (S.2120, Lorber, head type 27, No.85.1, (p.274, p.281). Slightly off centre on the reverse, reverse with minor test cut, otherwise good very fine and rare.
