ITALY, Calabria, Taras, (272-235 B.C.), silver stater, (6.48 grams), obv. naked boy rider crowning stationary horse to left, below AP **ISTIS, below horse an anchor to right, rev. Taras astride a dolphin to left, holding a distaff in left hand and a small Nike in right hand, **TAP[AS] below, (cf.S.374, Vl.820, SNG ANS 1158 same dies). Good very fine.
