ITALY, Calabria, Taras, (281-272 B.C.), silver stater, (6.22 grams), obv. naked horseman at full gallop on horse to right, holding javelins and shield, below **SOSTP ATOS in two lines, rev Taras astride a dolphin to left, holding a cornucopiae and a small Nike, to right a thunderbolt, to left **POLV, below **T APAS, (cf.S.378, Vl.717, SNG ANS 1086). Very fine.
