Commander of the Royal Victorian Order; neck badge in silver gilt and enamels; Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George, breast badge in silver gilt and enamels, with ribbon buckle; Egypt Medal- undated, one bar Suakin 1885; Coronation Medal 1902; Khedive's Star 1884- 6. Captain and DACG J. Stacpole C & T Staff. Second to fifth awards brooch mounted as worn. Third award only named engraved and with slight surface pitting, otherwise very fine.

With full set of miniatures, brooch mounted as worn, and silver voided badge with motto 'Crescendo Prosim' and retaining pin missing. Colonel John Stagg.Born 23 November 1847. Entered the army 1874. In ranks 8 years, 59 days. Sub Lieut 75th Foot 21 January 1874. Lieutenant 75th Foot 21 January 1874. To Leicester Regt 26 July 1876. Captain 26 March 1884. Major 2 April 1892 Deputy Assistant Commissariat- General, Commissariat and Transport Staff. Lieutenant Colonel 1895; Colonel 1900. Died at Sharwells, Milford- on- Sea Hampshire 30 December 1916. CVO awarded 19 March 1901 'For services in charge of embarkation and disembarkation of troops, Southhampton.' CMG awarded 1902.
