Description
Indonesia, Sumatra (Asahan), round copper and cupro nickel Plantation Tokens, one dollar 1888, obv. Hessa, German inscription, rev. blank, (Sch.1063). The copper cleaned but with still some oxidation, otherwise very fine. (2)
Woodside noted the pieces but didn't illustrate them in his 1963 book (p.38) 'Catalogue of East India Estate Tokens'.
