Description
Indonesia, Sumatra (Asahan), round copper and cupro nickel Plantation Tokens, one dollar 1888, obv. Hessa, German inscription, rev. blank, (Sch.1063); and a fifty cents in copper for Graf Bentheim Blimbing, rev. Chinese for 50, (Sch.1042). The copper cleaned but with still unevenly toned, otherwise good fine. (2)
Woodside noted the pieces but didn't illustrate them in his 1963 book (p.38 and 51) 'Catalogue of East India Estate Tokens'.
