Caracalla, (A.D. 198-217), aureus, issued A.D. 215, 7.1 grams, obv. Laureate bust draped and cuirassed to l., ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, around, rev. Isis standing to r., presenting corn-ears to Caracalla who stands l., in military dress, holding spear and trampling on crocodile, P M TR P XVIII COS IIII P R around, (not in S., RIC 257b). Possible trace of mount on edge, otherwise nearly very fine and very rare.
