Gordian III, (A.D. 238-244), silver denarius, (2.966 grams), Rome mint, obv. laureate bust to right of Gordian III, draped and cuirassed, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. Salus standing to right, feeding serpent held in arms, around SALVS AVGVSTI, (S.2475, RIC 129A, C.325). Good very fine, scarce.
