Palestine, Judaea, Alexander Jannaeus (Yehonatan), (103-76 B.C.), copper prutah, (2.152 grams), obv. anchor around **BASILEWS ALEXANDROY*, rev. star of eight rays surrounded by diadem, between the rays Hebrew letters [Yehonatan the King], (S.6087, H.469 [10], AJC I, Group Ca, Meshorer 8). Off centred on the reverse, otherwise extremely fine with full Greek inscription and very rare in this condition.
