Syria, Seleucis and Pieria, Antiochia ad Orontem (Antioch), Elagabalus (A.D. 218-222), billon tetradrachm, (13.016 grams), Laodicea issue, obv. laureate head of Elagabalus to right, around [AYT] K M A [ANTWNEINO C CEB], rev. eagle standing facing, head to left, wreath in beak, between legs star, around **DHMAR[C EX UP*A[TOC TO] B, **D E* in field above, (S.3096, Prieur 257 (p.48 notes many examples), Bellinger 42 [ANS Num. Stud. No.3], p.28, plate IV,10, SNG Von Post 617). Weak in places, short on flan, otherwise Fine/very fine.
