Attica, Athens, (166-57 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.768 grams), issued 151-150 B.C., (Thompson date) but probably 119-8 B.C. (revised chronology), obv. head of Athena Parthenos to right wearing triple-crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with Pegasus, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, on prostrate amphora, Helios in quadriga to right, **Q* on amphora, legend across **A QE*, to left and right **DIO NUS[I], DIO NUSI, ARIS TW*, **DI* below, all within wreath, (cf.S.2555, Thompson 571a-b [same obverse die]). Slightly off centred obverse, otherwise good very fine and rare.
