Julia Mamaea, mother of Severus Alexander, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 223, (2.900 grams), obv. draped bust to right, IVLIA MA MAEA AVG, rev. VENVS GENETRIX, Venus standing to left with child, holding sceptre, (S.8215, RIC 355, RSC 72); another similar issued in 222, (2.618 grams), rev. IVNO CONSERVATRIX, Juno standing left with peacock at feet, (S.8212, RIC 343, RSC 35). Very fine - good very fine. (2)
