Group of six. 1939-45 Star; Africa Star(8th Army); Italy Star. Defence Medal: British War Medal 1939-45 (MID): New Zealand War Service Medal. Unnamed as issued, but attributed to Sgt M. Kilduff 2NZEF. Very fine.
MID LG 19 July 1945 For Gallant and Distinguished Services in Italy. Sergeant M. Kilduff NZEF. Together with: Certificate dated 8 August 1945 from GOC NZ Division congratulating recipient upon being mentioned in dispatches (with covering letter); Letter from NZMF Base Records permitting recipient to wear MID emblem; Letter from NZ Minister of Defence congratulating recipient upon being mentioned in dispatches; Certificate from Secretary recording MID (with covering letter from NZMF Base Records; Certificate of Service with 24 Bn 2 NZEF;Entitlement slip for medals; Order of Service for recipient's funeral 29 May 1991 and two newspaper articles reporting the return of the diary of recipient's cousin Gunner O. Cole, who died as a POW in April 1941.
