Kevin Keogh / 7 Sqdn Path Finder Force / R.A.F. Oakington 1945 engraved on D.F.C., 143220 P/O K.Keogh 7th PF Sqn engraved on last medal, other medals unnamed. Very fine.

D.F.C.:L.G.25Sep1945. Pilot Officer Kevin Keogh R.A.F.V.R. was a member No.7 Squadron which was at Oakington from October 1940 until July 1945 and flew Lancasters from July 1943 until the early 1950s. In 1942 it was one of five squadrons selected to form the nucleus of the Pathfinder Force and in 1944/45 it spearheaded the night bomber force in its attacks on Germany. More than 580 decorations were awarded to members of No.7 Squadron in W.W.II., it also suffered some of the highest casualty rates. Together with Path Finder Force badge, certificate and some research.
