Antoninus Pius, (A.D. 138-161), AE sestertius, (27.82 grams), Rome mint, issued A.D. 156-157, obv. laureate head of Antoninus Pius to right, around ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P IMP II, rev. Securitas seated to left, holding sceptre and resting left elbow on cornucopiae, around TR POT XX COS IIII, S C in exergue, (S.1278, RIC 967, C.1008). Dark black patina, attractive nearly extremely fine and rare in this condition.
