ARGYL, Skidmores 'T Gorton' penny, 1797, Argyle-House by Jacobs/T.G. cypher (D&H 1). Obverse die badly fractured however not nearly as bad as in D&H plate and the reverse unaffected. Traces of mint red, dark brown patina, nearly uncirculated and extremely rare.

Purchased from Spink in 1986.
