Group of six, British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal; Defence Medal; Jubilee Medal 1935; Coronation Medal 1937; Coronation Medal 1953. Capt S.L. Peter, court mounted for wear, first two awards names only impressed. Very fine.
Capt. Stuart Luttrell Peter, a scion of an old Launceston Cornwall family served in the DCLI in the first World war. On demobilisation he joined the family firm of solicitors and served in local government as town clerk and clerk to the borough magistrates' court and eventually as mayor in 1953, culminating in his appointment as honorary Freeman of the borough of Launceston. $$ Together with a group of miniatures and extensive research , including a bound history of the family law firm of Peter, Peters & Sons founded in 1838, and photographs of the recipient and an extensive family tree.
