Description

Heraclius, (A.D. 610-641), Constantinople mint, folles, obv. Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine standing facing, rev. M, CON in exergue date to r., year 20 = 629, Officinae gamma (2), delta, year 22 Officina gamma, year [25] = 634, Officina delta, (S.810), another year 30 = 639, Officina B. (S.811). Most with evidence of overstriking, otherwise fine - very fine. (6)

The issue was extensively overstruck on coins of Heraclius own reign, although the above year 20 of gamma Officina, provides an interesting overstrike on an Antioch mint issue of Tiberius II Constantine, Year 7 (580-1).
